SOUTH MISSISSIPPI REGIONAL CENTER IS SEEKING A
*1 CONTRACT PSYCHOMETRIST*
*WORK LOCATION: DIAGNOSTIC SERVICES DEPARTMENT*
*PAY: $40 PER HOUR: UP TO 24 HOURS PER Week*
*SCHEDULE/SHIFTS: Monday through Friday*
*CONTRACT TERM: CONTRACT WILL END 6/30/24 with an option to reapply or renew for a year.

*RESPONSIBILITIES: *
Conduct psychological assessments to determine eligibility for services for people with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities by administering, scoring, and interpreting standardized intelligence and adaptive instruments in conjunction with diagnostic criteria from the _DSM-5_, and within the scope of DOM/DMH eligibility criteria.
* Perform clinical interview with families and people seeking services to obtain pertinent background information to prepare written report.
* Assess mental status and related mental health issues, and provide _DSM-5_diagnosis, as appropriate.
* Develop a written report based on information obtained during record review, interviews, and test administration.
*EXPERIENCE/EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: *
Must have at least a Master’s degree in psychology or psychometry and have successfully completed, at a minimum, courses related to direct administration of adaptive, achievement, and intelligence tests.
One course must be specific to the Wechsler Intelligence Tests.
Must have at least two (2) years of experience conducting intellectual assessments.
Applicants must attach a valid copy of his/her graduate transcript or other evidence to verify completion of required course work.
The hiring agency will verify course work.
State credentials in the field of Psychology or Psychometry, such as Department of Education Certified Psychometrist or Licensed Psychologist, are required.
