Job Description: Kitchen Manager
Requirements:
Proven experience in a culinary role, preferably in a fast-paced kitchen environment
If no experience, a willingness to learn quickly.
Extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and kitchen equipment, including fryers and ovens
Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation regulations
Exceptional organizational and time management skills to ensure efficient kitchen operations
Excellent communication and leadership abilities to effectively manage and train kitchen staff
Ability to handle high-pressure situations and make quick decisions
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Responsibilities:
Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, cleaning, and inventory management
Ensure the consistent quality and presentation of all food items, adhering to established recipes and portion control guidelines
Train, supervise, and motivate kitchen staff, providing guidance and feedback to enhance their skills and performance
Implement and enforce food safety standards and sanitation procedures to maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen environment
Manage inventory levels, conduct regular stock checks, and place orders as necessary to ensure adequate supplies for daily operations
Collaborate with the management team to develop and update menus, taking into account customer preferences and seasonal availability of ingredients
Monitor kitchen expenses and work within budgetary guidelines to optimize profitability
Stay updated on industry trends, new techniques, and innovations in culinary arts, and incorporate them into menu development and kitchen operations
